Since pawtnering with the amazing hoomans at Superbalist.com in 2020, we've now taken things to the next level.

Introducing our pawth and best ever collection of our ever-popular SwheSwhe Bow-Wow-Ties and Fundana Bandanas.

They're hot off the press, more colourful than ever and, best of all, still handmade with love by artisans in Jozi.

Ally's Story

It has been 3 and half years since Ally became a treasured member of our family. She's now the CEO of Urban Hound Social and everyone knows who's boss, including Rollo, the COO.



We adopted Ally from Pekingese Rescue, a non-profit organisation that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes Pekingese dogs in South Africa.

It was Autumn 2017. Ally was living in Pretoria at the time, amongst many other pup rescues. We were sent a video of Ally “talking” into camera and it was love at first sight.

Ally, one of our furry founders, has picked up a little weight. Since 2020 has become the year when everyone likes to give meaning to things, we’re just going to blame it on Lockdown. Thankfully, now with Level One in place, we’ll start taking long, fun walks to the park as a family, together with my husband and Rollo, and of course, we have since changed both their diets.

What happens when world-renowned photographer, Emma Obrien and her twin doggos, Edward and Victoria, enter a studio with a lovely selection of Urban Hound Social ShweShwe pup apparel? Pure pawsomeness, obvs.

We've never worked with professional models before. Too intimidating, with their long-legs, their pawfect coats and "training."   

When these two rescues, Edward and Victoria, began strutting their stuff, wearing our stuff of course, shaking their tushes, smiling like crazy at the camera on what we've decided shall now and forever be called, "the dogwalk" (sorry cats), we were just blown away.
